Next stop: Okinawa Japan

So the Carter family has made it to Japan. It has been a crazy two weeks since we have been here and today was the first day we did nothing at all and it was pure bliss. The trip here was very long, it started at 3am March 29th when we took off from LAX to Seattle. The first trip was quick and fun, the kids were great and I was very excited to see my dear friend Katie. When we landed in Seattle we headed to the USO at the airport which was amazing. They held our luggage for us for the day. This USO was equipped with lots of amenities like showers, free food, lots of TVs, computers, beds, cribs, and a really nice staff that helped it feel like home. We ate some breakfast and waited for Katie to pick us up from the airport. Let me just say there is no greater friend than a military wife (mainly because they know exactly what you are going through at any given time) and Katie that day was a breath of fresh air and my own little anxiety reliever. Our daughters were so excited to see each other. We headed to the mall to kill some time, and eat. After a nice day we said our goodbyes and we went to find seats at the USO. We basically rested the rest of the day and night until 1 am the next day, which is when we went and checked into our flight and got our tickets. Our flight from Seattle took off at 7:48 Thursday morning and we flew our first leg of 10.5 hours to our first stop in Japan where we got off the plane for 3 hours. The kids greatly enjoyed this part and the fact they could run crazy for those 3 hours and basically momma and daddy could not say anything because they slept the entire flight! After that we took off for Yokota  Japan for a quick drop off and then headed to Okinawa. Once there our sponsor picked us up and off the too the hotel we went. That is  a picture of our hotel. Anyways we have now moved into our home and are starting to get settled. The most important thing to do when you PCS in the military is to make sure you get to your home , set it up, and start living. And that is what we plan to do and this is where we are going to document it. So enjoy!
